SAL Squadron 883 May Chicken Bar-B-Q
The Sons of the American Legion Squadron 883 hosted their May Chicken Bar-B-Q on Saturday, May 2nd. The weather couldn't have been more perfect, and the event was a huge success. Thank you to all who purchased meals to support the SAL
and the Jonestown American Legion. The June Bar-B-Q has been postponed, and the next Bar-B-Q will be Saturday, August 1. Tickets will be available from Sons Members or by seeing a bartender in the canteen.
SAL Squadron 883 April Chicken Bar-B-Q
The Sons of the American Legion Squadron 883 hosted their first Chicken Bar-B-Q of the season. The weather couldn't have been more perfect, and the event was a huge success. Thank you to all who purchased meals to support the SAL.
We would also like to thank various members from all the branches of the American Legion Post 883 that joined us in selling tickets and helping on the day of the event. We are one Post made up if many parts that work together for our overall success!
Easter Egg Hunt 2026
The Jonestown American Legion and the Lions Club sponsored our annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday April 4th. The event was held at the Jonestown Community Park. Four separate areas were setup and children, by age groups, between newborn to 10 were able to search for eggs featuring cash, candy and prizes! The weather was amazing and the turnout was fantastic!

Plenty of people were on hand to join us for this years event. A great time was had by all and we even had a visit from the Easter Bunny!
Hats off to this young man. After seeing this little girl not get any Eggs, he stepped up and placed some of his that he collected into her bucket. This is how it should be. Well done!

Veterans Dinner Feb 12, 2026
Honoring those who served our nation
The Sons of the American Legion Squadron 883 had the honor to host a dinner supporting veterans from the Lebanon V.A. Medical Center. While the meal and desserts were amazing, the comradery and time spent talking and connecting with these great men was an unforgettable experience.
We at Post 883, in every branch, strive to serve our veterans, our active military and our community. We can never say thank you enough to show our gratitude.
We would also like to thank the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 883 for being on hand to help support this event and our in-house Chef Zachary Hitz for preparing the meal.
Countdown to New Years Sunday Funday 2025
We raised $2,350.00 for the local vets! We would like to thank all the members that came out to support. We would also like to give a big shout out and thank all the local businesses that donated gift cards. R & R beer distributor, Esther’s restaurant, the Eagle Hotel, Pizzatown, Brandt’s Mill, Mel’s Diner, Valley Cigars, D.E. Richards Garage Inc. and our members who donated gift cards. Trunk or Treat 2025
The Jonestown Legion organized a wonderful Trunk or Treat! Lots of families with tons of children came out from the community. It was a wonderful night! I would like to give a shout out to all those that set up their cars and handed out treats. The decorations were outstanding. Approximates 60 kids attended and there were 23 trunks! Great job ladies for organizing!
Customer Appreciation Day
The Post hosted a Customer Appreciation Day. A great time was had by all during the festivities. Congratulations to all our teams that competed in the Cornhole Tournament and thank you for all that joined us to make this event a success!
St Patrick's Day Party
They were shaking their shamrocks with DJ Halo and having a blarney good time!! Thanks for coming out to our St. Patrick's Party!
